Taiwan Govt launches scholarship programme for Indian lecturers


The last date to submit the application is September 30, 2022. The selected lecturers will start their studies from September 1 to December 31, 2023. 

Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India (TECC) on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan Government, has launched the ‘2023 Elite Scholarship’ programme for Indians who are university lecturers and are interested in pursuing doctoral programmes in Taiwan.  

The All India Council for Technical Education has issued a circular to all vice-chancellors of technical universities and directors/principals of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved institutions, the AICTE. 

In the circular, the council stated, “The objective of the scholarship programme is to encourage the lecturers to pursue a doctoral degree. Lecturers can apply for this scholarship in order to upgrade their research skills and to enhance international ranking of their universities.” 

2023 Elite Scholarship’ 

The applications for ‘2023 Elite Scholarship’ may be submitted to the Education Division, TECC. The last date to submit the application is September 30, 2022. The selected lecturers will start their studies from September 1 to December 31, 2023.  

The circular further read, “You are requested to disseminate this information among the faculty members and also recommend your outstanding faculty to apply for this scholarship.” 

AICTE PG scholarship 2022-23 

The AICTE has also invited online applications for the Post Graduate (PG) scholarship for the academic session 2022-23. Students studying in the first year of ME, MTech, MPharm, MArch, MDes courses having valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) scorecard will be eligible for scholarships. The last date to apply for the AICTE PG scholarships is November 30.
